Pasture Raised Pork

Picture
Our happy hogs live in the pasture and woods so they have access to grasses, bugs, acorns, and everything in between.  Their foraged diet is supplemented with GMO-free grains.  We are currently selling pork from the heritage breed Large Black Hog, Berkshire, and Tamworth.  We also have whole and half hogs available for purchase June 2013.  Please contact us if you are interested.

Free Ranging Hens

Picture
Bug hunting in the woods, foraging in the fields, and the occassional dirt bath keep our chickens happy, entertained, and well nourished.  The large brown eggs have bright orange yolks full of flavor.  You have to taste one to believe the difference.  We are confident once you try an egg from a bird that is able to hunt and forage you will not go back to the alternative.

'Freedom Rangers' Whole Chickens (Meat Birds)

Picture
The same dirt baths, bug hunts and days filled with eating grass that make our laying hens so happy also work wonders on our broiler birds.  We raise Freedom Ranger chickens instead of the typical extra-large breasted varieties commonly found in supermarkets.  We find this variety to be full of flavor and finish at a healthy 3 to 5 pounds from a grazing diet, supplemented with GMO-free grain.  You can get your chicken fresh on processing days (on the farm) or frozen at the Forest Farmers Market.
